Maciej Kubiak

Education

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, where he completed postgraduate studies in intellectual property law, as well as the Center for American Law (University of Florida/University of Warsaw) and the Center for English and European Law (University of Cambridge/University of Warsaw). Admitted to practice as an attorney (advocate) by the Warsaw Bar Association.

Professional career

Since 2022 he has co-founded the SKP Ślusarek Kubiak Pieczyk law firm (www.skplaw.pl), where he is managing partner and co-head of intellectual property and new technology department (IP/TMT). Earlier for 14 years he was associated with LSW law firm, where he was a partner co-leading the IP/TMT practice and for more than a decade and was responsible for cyber security and legal tech implementation. Prior to that, he gained experience in the intellectual property department of the law firm Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak, among others.

Repeatedly recommended by renowned international legal rankings (including Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, Managing IP, IP Stars, Media Law International): in the field of technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), intellectual property (IP) and dispute resolution ( Dispute Resolution).

Arbitration experience

Arbitrator of the Arbitration Court of the Audiovisual Market (SARA).

Membership in organizations

Founding member of the New Technology Law Association (SPNT) and coordinator of the Media and Internet SPNT working group. Member of the Editorial Board of the New Technology Law Quarterly (C.H. Beck). Lecturer at the H. Grocjusz Center for Intellectual Property Rights in Krakow and at postgraduate studies at SWPS University – Legaltech and innovations in the legal industry.
