Professional career

  • Since 2004, I have been an attorney in private practice specialising in ADR services for business entities. I am a barrister, negotiator and have appeared many times before the Court of Arbitration at the Polish Chamber of Commerce as an attorney primarily in construction disputes, including those involving the public sector.

  • In addition, I am a court mediator and mediator for international organisations and industry associations – Global Mediation Panel, UN; World Bank, RICS, CEDR, ADR Group. I also run an NGO whose statutory aim is to promote the use of alternative methods of dispute and conflict resolution, also beyond the dimension of causality, and stress reduction for public trust professions at home and abroad using mindfulness.

  • From 2019-2020 I did a professional internship at JAMS, USA as a co-mediator and assistant arbitrator and worked at the UN Office of the Ombudsman as an intra-organizational mediator.

  • From 2011 to 2019, I was the founder and president of the Mediation Centre at the Polish National Bar Council. 

  • Between 2002 and 2004 I served my legal training, bar exam passed.

  • From 1998 -2002 I served my judicial trainig, a judge’s exam passed.

  • In the years 1998-2009 I worked in the Gintowt-Łusakowski-Okapiec law firm, dealing with litigation, arbitration and full service of business entities from the fuel and real estate sectors. I led infranstructure projects and managed the litigation department. During my studies I worked, among others, at the law firm Hunton&Williams.

Arbitration experience

  • I have argued a number of cases before the arbitral tribunal as an attorney between 2000 and 2019.
  • In 2013, I completed an arbitration internship under an arbitrator mentor preceded by CIARB’s introductory training for international commercial arbitrators.
  • In 2016, I took the ICC Arbitration and ADR Training Programme.
