Arbitration Experience

  • Counsel to an advertising company in investor-state ad hoc arbitration under the UNCITRAL Rules against an Eastern European state concerning claims exceeding € 50 million, arising from an alleged breach of a public-private partnership contract;
  • Counsel to a Swedish manufacturer of refractory materials in VIAC arbitration proceedings against a Russian steel producer in € 6 million euro dispute arising from the refurbishment of large-scale industrial installations in Russia;
  • In addition to these matters, Sergei is a member of the CERHA HEMPEL arbitration team, which has experience in numerous arbitration proceedings conducted in accordance with the rules of VIAC, ICC, LCIA, DIS, SCC and other institutions, as well as in ad hoc arbitrations throughout Europe. The firm’s established practice covers investment and shareholder disputes, post-M&A matters, joint ventures, construction projects and commercial contracts in sectors such as energy, manufacturing, media, pharmaceuticals and technology.
